Sometimes I find it hard to gather up the motivation to get myself to do anything active, even though I know it will be good for me and I will probably enjoy it.

Today I struggled with getting to yoga class, but in the end I went. I feel so much better now that I have gone. Anyone who doesn't think yoga is a workout, obviously hasn't been to the right class.

Mom and Dad

Today I am so incredibly thankful for my parents. I love that I can call my dad up and ask him how to make chicken stock or that I can call my mom up and we recite lines from the honey badger video to each other.

Unexpected Schedule Changes

My work schedule has been a little different this week. But it has allowed me to go to yoga classes I wouldn't normally go to. I am thankful for the unexpected which has allowed me to take classes from a few of my favorite teachers.

Unexpected Gifts

One of my part time co-workers noticed the Vera Bradley patterned duffle I use as a gym bag. The pattern is Java Blue. I go back and forth between thinking Vera Bradley stuff is old ladyish and thinking it's awesome. (Side note: When it first came out, girls in West Virginia called a Vera Bradley Purse the Kentucky purse because lots of Kentucky girls had the wallet that had a long strap with it that could be made a purse. Thus started some negative connotations with the brand. But looking back on it, how is it fair of a West Virginia girl to pass judgement on a Kentucky girl?)

My mom has always gifted me with Vera Bradley and she has given me a few items in my beloved Java Blue. My co-worker went through a break up and the ex-boyfriends mom had gifted her with lots of Java Blue items. She didn't want to keep them, so she gifted me with a hanging organizer. This is just perfect for my trip to Europe!

Pumpkin Oats

I love pumpkin oats so much that I bought 2 things of pumpkin butter at the store. I will probably buy a few more so I can have it during the entire year.

Yesterday was a busy day and before I knew it it was time for bed. But, there was still plenty to be thankful for.

Understanding people at the grocery store who didn't start a riot when I realized my wallet was in my car and I had to run out and get it to pay. I was also in the express lane. The shame. Oh the shame.

Fall in Tennessee

Fall is here and the leaves are changing colors. The weather is also pretty perfect.

The past few days have almost made the humid summers worth it. Almost.

The Honey Badger

Who knew that a Nasty A** Honey Badger could provide so much entertainment.

It all started with this video.

And ended with a 196.1 mile relay race between Chattanooga and Nashville.

So today I am thankful the honey badger. The honey badger provided my Ragnar Relay Team, The East Nasty A** Honey Badgers with a great team theme and lots of laughs. If you have never done a relay race, I highly recommend it!

East Nasty

Today I am thankful for East Nasty. East Nasty is my running group. So many great things have come from it. So many new friends and experiences. My heart is full with love for East Nasty. This week I am honored to be chosen as East Nasty of the Week! Check out the write up over at East Nasty For Life.

I am off to run in Ragnar TN! The 200ish mile relay race between Chattanooga and Nashville with 11 other East Nasty runners. Here's to a fun and crazy 36ish hours!

Rainy Days

Today I am thankful for rainy days. Not all days are sunny, but that doesn't make them bad.

Today I am thankful for my friends. My friend Jess in particular.

A friend who convinced me to go out on Halloween.
A friend who reminded me about a costume I wore to a Halloween party we went to together 5 years ago when I couldn't think of anything to wear.
A friend who I can share exciting news with.
A friend I can laugh with.
A friend I can cry with.
A friend I can dance with until 2 AM.

It happened all last night.
